What properties does hemp oil have?

Hemp oil is a high-quality vegetable oil cold-pressed from hemp seeds with a slightly nutty taste and greenish colour. Like most vegetable fats, it consists mainly of fatty acids (about 75 percent).

However, hemp oil is exceptionally healthy due to its special composition of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids in a ratio of 3:1, with omega-6 being the predominant component in almost all other vegetable oils. “Like all oils with a high content of polyunsaturated fatty acids, hemp oil should not be heated strongly, so that vitamins and important ingredients are not destroyed,” advises Miriam Szygula from the food manufacturer Alnatura.

Can one get “high” on hemp oil?

What is CBD -Oil? –

In contrast to hemp oil from the food shelf, cannabidiol oil (short CBD -oil) is a food supplement that you drip into your mouth with the help of a pipette, i.e. you consume it pure. How do I dose CBD -Oil it right and how do I use it?

The optimal dosage depends on the individual body weight and metabolism. In principle, Schröder recommends starting with a small dosage of 10 mg and then increasing the dose over several days until the desired effect has been achieved. “The best way to do this is CBD -oil in drop form, as it can be dosed precisely and individually,” says the expert. The oil is simply dripped onto the mucous membrane with a pipette under the tongue and should then act for 60 to 90 seconds.

In order for the oral mucosa to CBD -oil, you should not eat or drink for the next 10 to 15 minutes.

“The type of application has a major influence on how much of the active ingredient actually reaches the body in the end,” explains Johannes Schröder. “The oral intake via tablet or capsule has the worst bioavailability.” A tip from our expert: “Instead of taking the entire daily dose at once, take the oil several times a day. Has CBD Side effects?

Both pregnant women and people taking medication should CBD -don’t ingest oil. Schröder specifies: “The intake of CBD has proven to be very safe. According to studies and experience reports, side effects occur very rarely and are rather limited to general symptoms.

For example, when taking CBD -oil can cause reduced appetite, diarrhea or fatigue, but addictions do not.”

Dr. Sven Markus Richter, physician from Berlin, adds: “Unfortunately, there are currently too few human studies of sufficient quality to be able to show the positive effects of CBD to confirm. Nevertheless, the World Health Organization (WHO ) in an article that is expected to be CBD …is not a problem for the health of the general population.”

The Berlin doctor is currently experimenting a lot with CBD and clarifies: “The known side effects are manageable: fatigue, reduced appetite and diarrhoea.
