A top-class sports region: Good reasons for Catalonia as a sports destination
What is sport without the right place? For a real motivational kick, you need an exciting and diverse landscape, a suitable climate and last but not least many varied training opportunities. Catalonia combines everything. The year-round mild climate offers optimal conditions for athletes. And nothing beats the great agricultural diversity: for example the tours and high mountain paths in the Catalan Pyrenees to train for races of all kinds.
And if you want to row, you can do so in ideal conditions on the calm waters near Amposta. The quiet back roads on the Costa Brava are also suitable for road cycling training. And away from the workouts, the beach and sea, as well as Catalonia’s cultural and gastronomic diversity, offer recreation that athletes have really earned after a hard training session.
